Joe no Comprendo
Based on the true story of a group of American students going to Nicaragua during the height of unrest to document the delivery of a garbage truck which was a gift from Ann Arbor, Michigan to her sister city Juigalpa, a small city two hours from Managua. When the garbage truck breaks down one of the students is kept from leaving the country until a ransom is paid. When the student realizes he’s being held hostage, he rises to the occasion and works the complicated levers in a warzone to not only save himself but to right some of the wrongs that happen along the way.
