Who we are
Symply Entertainment operates internationally from offices in Los Angeles, Dubai and Beirut. Our recent focus has been on adapting internationally acclaimed novels that have multi-cultural components to the storylines. By bridging cultures through entertainment, we believe audiences will allow themselves to be taken on journeys that go beyond their traditional borders. Sure, it might sound lofty and pretentious, but we are committed to the idea that if you can see a story from a point of view that you might not have yet considered, then perhaps you will carry this with you, beyond the screen. It is a variation on walking in another person’s shoes before you cast judgment, only here, we aren’t asking you to walk, but to take a seat, a chair, a comfortable chair that gives you the best vantage point — in fact, sit where our directors sit, in the director’s chair. This way you can enjoy the films from a place even better than the front row.
The team
Ron Senkowski
Ron Senkowski is the president and CEO of Symply Entertainment, a company with a presence in the Middle East, France and Hollywood. Senkowski has written and directed for most all of the major Hollywood studios, as well as such visionaries as Quentin Tarantino, Michael Mann, Barry Levinson, and even Adam Sandler. Senkowski is an active member of the Writers Guild and Producers Guild of America, where he is on the International Committee. He is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
Samira Kawas
Samira Kawas is the Vice President and co-founder of Symply Entertainment and the Managing Director of Symply Entertainment Beirut. Kawas has directed and produced for Al Jazeera, MBC, Dubai TV, MTV Lebanon, the Travel Channel, and others. Kawas calls Beirut her home but spends a great deal of her time in Los Angeles as well as France and Dubai. She has shot all around the world, including Lebanon, Doha, Dubai, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Paris, London and Los Angeles. In front of the camera, Samira starred in the Digital Emmy Award winning web series SHANKABOOT (2011).
